Numismatic themed evening in the Library
The evening featured ‘Queen Elizabeth and the Twelve Caesars’ – an amateur dramatic event retelling the (true!) story of the
offer coins of the 12 Caesars to Queen Elizabeth I in 1561 (Dir. A. Burnett), and the naming of the ‘Casey Numismatics Room’ in honour of John Casey (1935-2016) who left a generous legacy to the Library.

Visit to the Roman Baths, Bath
A behind-the scenes tour of the excavations, the most significant to have taken place at the Roman Baths for more than 30 years, was followed by drinks around the torch-lit Great Bath.

Professor Catharine Edwards, President of the Roman Society, hosted with Professor Kathleen Coleman (Member of the HARL Campaign Board) a reception at the SCS in Boston in aid of the fundraising campaign.
